Life is full of opportunity – to live the life you want or to survive the life that you resist.

I remember when I had to rebuild my life; pick myself up from the darkest, deepest place you can imagine.

I’ve been to the University of Life where I’ve had many knocks and disappointments along with way, but it’s what you do with these knocks and how they define your life going forward. You can either remain a victim of your circumstances or you can actually change your story; you can change your life and accept what’s happened.

When my life hit rock bottom and I felt stripped naked of emotion, security and purpose, I was just a mess and I didn’t know what to do. I felt I had nobody to speak to because of my story; I felt ashamed, I felt guilty, I felt resentment and I felt anger. I wanted to blame, but I had to accept, forgive and let go of my past and learn lessons from it. 

I started this journey by reading many self-help books and then went on to take a 2-year Psychology course, which then led me to train as a Life Coach and gain my Performance Coaching Certificate. As well as an NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) practitioner, I am also a member of the National Council of Psychotherapists and that’s why I was so thrilled when Gisele Thomson invited me to interview for her speaker series all around this topic. This project was born from her intent to share with people practical ideas and strategies to live they feel deep within them is for them.

Between April 17th and May 7th, over 20 expert guest speakers will be drawing on personal experience and professional knowledge to help you learn more about how to live the life of your dreams. It’s called: Live the Life You Want: How to Overcome Adversity, Be Happy, and Live the Life of Your Dreams and I have a complimentary ticket for you to attend.
